Period Underwear
Kiri's period underwear replaces pads and tampons with underwear that absorbs on its own. Four layers are knitted into the gusset: a wicking layer that pulls fluid away so the surface stays dry, an antibacterial layer that neutralises the bacteria behind odour, an absorbent core that locks liquid in, and a leak-proof outer layer. Daywear or nightwear?
Choose by millilitres rather than by words like "light" or "heavy".
- Daywear holds up to 50ml, roughly 5.5 regular tampons. Wear it alone on light to moderate days, or as backup with a tampon or cup on heavier days. See the Celeste Blue daywear panty.
- Nightwear holds up to 75ml, roughly 8.5 tampons. The waist sits higher and the absorbent layer runs from front to back, because flow moves backwards when you are lying down, so side sleeping is covered. See the Selene Black nightwear panty.

Getting the size right
Sizes run XS to L, with XL in nightwear. Measure your waist and hip rather than using your usual clothing size, because the gusset has to sit flush against you to work. If you are between two sizes, size down: a waistband with slack lets the gusset shift out of place, which is the usual cause of leaking through the front or back. Nightwear is cut slightly closer than daywear, so your size can differ between the two. Full measurements are in the size guide, and the signs of a wrong size are worth reading before your first order.
Washing, and how long a pair lasts
Rinse in cold water until it runs clear, machine wash cold in a laundry bag, then hang to dry. No bleach, no fabric softener, no dryer, because heat and softener are what age the absorbent layer.
