The basics

How does period underwear actually work?
Four layers do the job: a moisture-wicking top layer keeps you dry, an antibacterial layer keeps you fresh, an absorbent core holds 50–75 ml, and a leak-proof shield makes sure nothing gets through. It fully replaces pads and tampons — no extras needed.
Will it feel wet?
No. The top layer wicks moisture away from your skin instantly, so you stay dry — most customers say they forget they're wearing period underwear at all.
Will it smell?
No — the antibacterial layer neutralises odour-causing bacteria all day, which is what usually causes that worry with pads.
What is it made of? Is it safe?
Soft, seamless, breathable fabric with no dioxin, chlorine or rayon — nothing you wouldn't want next to your skin, worn like regular underwear.

Wearing

How much can one pair hold?
Daywear holds 50 ml (≈ 5.5 tampons); nightwear holds 75 ml (≈ 8.5 tampons). On heavier days, most people change once mid-day — just like normal underwear.
How long can I wear one pair?
Up to 12 hours depending on your flow. You'll know it's time to change when the gusset starts to feel saturated — on light days, one pair easily lasts the whole day.
Can I use it with a tampon or cup?
Absolutely — lots of customers start with Kiri as leak-proof backup for a tampon or cup, then go solo on lighter days once they trust it.
Can I exercise or sleep in it?
Yes to both. Daywear moves with you through workouts and commutes; the high-waist nightwear pair is cut for full coverage lying down, so night one no longer means a towel on the bed.
Can I swim in it?
Kiri isn't swimwear — the absorbent core would soak up the pool. Wear it to and from the water, and it'll take care of everything either side of your swim.
Is it good for teens and first periods?
One of the best ways to start: nothing to insert, nothing to carry, and no uniform anxiety. Many parents buy a starter set of two to three pairs.
Can I wear it beyond my period?
Yes — spotting, discharge and light leaks are all covered, and our antibacterial Daily line is made exactly for the in-between days.
How many pairs do I need?
Most people are covered with 3–5 pairs: day pairs, a nightwear pair, and a wash mid-cycle. Bundles are the cheapest way to build the set.

Care

How do I wash them?
Rinse in cold water until it runs clear, machine wash inside a laundry bag, and line dry. No bleach, no tumble dryer, no iron. That's the whole routine.
How long does a pair last?
Cared for well, your Kiri stays soft, leak-proof and reliable for years — replacing hundreds of disposables along the way.
How fast do they dry?
The fabric is quick-drying — line-dried overnight, they're ready by morning, which is what makes a 3–5 pair rotation work.

Sizing & orders

How do I find my size?
Check the size guide — Daywear and Nightwear panties run XS–L, Daily panties XS–XL, and bras XS–L. Between sizes? We recommend going down a size. If you're still between two sizes after your first order arrives, see our First-Pair Fit Guarantee below.
How long does shipping take?
Hong Kong orders arrive in 2–4 business days; international orders typically take 5–10 business days. Free worldwide shipping on all orders over HK$450.
What if my first pair doesn't fit?
You're covered by our First-Pair Fit Guarantee: if the size is wrong on your first order, email hello@kirijourney.com within 14 days and we'll exchange it for a different size, free of charge — no questions asked. This applies once, to a first order, on unworn items.
